6'9" Class Of 2010 Chicago Providence St. Mel Star Phillip Jackson Continues To Add To His List Of Scholarship Offers, Recruitment Set To Skyrocket As The Top Uncommitted 2010 Prospect In Illinois
Class of 2010 Chicago Providence St. Mel star Phillip Jackson of the Mac Irvin Fire is continuing to add to his collection of scholarship offers, and can be expected to continue to see his collegiate recruitment soar as the top uncommitted Class of 2010 prospect in the state of Illinois.
Jackson, a 6'9" power forward, is a highly athletic big man who brings a dazzling combination of size, athleticism and skill to the table. Jackson uses his athleticism to excel both as a rebounder, and as a shot-blcoker. He has also turned into a force offensively as he is comfortable scoring both with his back-to-the-basket, and also by facing up, and drilling mid-range jumpers. He brings tremendous upside potential to the table.
Jackson spent this past spring and summer anchoring the post for a loaded 16-U Mac Irvin Fire team, and caught the attention of college programs from around the country with his strong play.
St. Louis and Detroit have recently joined a long line of programs including Southern Illinois, Indiana State and Northern Illinois in offering Jackson a scholarship. A steady stream of high-major programs have also made their way to open gym sessions at Providence St. Mel.
The Top 5 prospects from the Illinois Class of 2010 are already off the board. Jackson currently rates as the top uncommitted prospect from the 2010 class. The high school season is fast approaching, and Jackson, who will anchor the St. Mel frontcourt alongside of 6'6" Mark Mack, can expect to continue to see his recruitment skyrocket.
