Downstate junior college power John A. Logan Community College is off to a 7-0 start, and former Homewood-Flossmoor star D.J. Posley has been a key component of the success of the team. Posley, a transfer from Division I Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne, has been a standout on both ends of the floor.

Posley, a 6-2 sophomore guard, has been key on both ends of the floor as Logan College has knocked off highly regarded Vincennes (IN), Three Rivers (MO) and Southeastern (IA) en route to their undefeated start.

Long known for his aggressive and hawking on-the-ball defense, Posley has been quite strong offensively early in the season including a 27-point effort at Southeastern Iowa, and a 26-point effort on the road against Vincennes. Posley is currently averaging 18 points per game.

The highly versatile Posley is getting minutes at the 1,2 and 3 slots on the floor. The trio of Posley, Steve Martin (Philadelphia, PA) and Josiah Miller (Munice, IN) have been superb at keeping the heat on opposing guards.

Austin Peay and Central Connecticut State are now both actively recruiting Posley. Logan College will get some additional south suburban help once the second semester of school begins when former Rich Central star Jarvis Walker becomes eligible to play.
