Here is the ChicagoHoops.com Preseason 2nd Team Men's All-State Basketball Team. The team is headed by Class of 2010 Thornton star Reggie Smith, the top uncommitted Class of 2010 basketball prospect in the state of Illinois.


Reggie Smith
Position: Point Guard Height: 6'0"
High School: Thornton Class: 2010
The top uncommitted Class of 2010 prospect in the state of Illinois. Led Thornton to a terrific run during the 2008-09 season. Will again team with 2011 star Jay Parker to lead a Thornton team that is again expected to among the best in the state.
Karl Madison
Position: Point Guard Height: 5'9"
High School: Springfield Lanphier Class: 2010
A Drake University recruit. A dazzling floor leader who shreds opponents both with his ability to score, and also his ball distribution skills. A four-year varsity starter who will be looking to close out his high school career in strong fashion.
Mike McCall
Position: Point Guard Height: 6'1"
High School: Chicago Foreman Class: 2010
A St. Louis University recruit. Excels with his speed, quickness and versatility in the backcourt. Will lead a veteran Foreman team that will be eyeing a deep run when the state tournament rolls around in March.
Ben Brust
Position: Shooting Guard Height: 6'1"
High School: Mundelein Class: 2010
A University of Iowa recruit. An excellent scorer who always puts up big offensive numbers for his high school team. Will be looking for a big senior season after missing a big part of his junior year with an injury.
Rayvonte Rice
Position: Small Forward Height: 6'3"
High School: Champaign Centennial Class: 2010
A Drake University recruit. A superb all-around talent who has the ability to dominate both inside and outside. Will be looking to close out his high school career by leading Centennial to another IHSA Class 3A state title.
James Siakam
Position: Power Forward Height: 6'6"
High School: Brehm Prep Class: 2010
Excels with his strong all-around skill package, and his high level of energy on both ends of the floor. A relentless rebounder inside who is also an excellent finisher. Has added some nice perimeter skills to his arsenal, and leads a strong Brehm Prep team that will again play a highly challenging national schedule.
