In a game that didn't end until almost 1:30am, the Rising Stars 17-U team defeated a tough Kansas City Keys squad to improve their mark to 1-1 in Pool Play at the 17-U SuperShowcase in Orlando, Florida. Western Illinois, Bradley, Loyola and Northern Illinois all toughed it out til the conclusion of the contest.

The Rising Stars 17-U squad pulled away late to win the contest 61-52. The team was led by Marcus Lewis (Warren), Kevin Bulger (Glenbrook South), Zach Kelly (Glenbrook North), Paul Bayer (Moline), Alex Burkle (Crystal Lake South), Dan Nelms (Lake Forest/Phillip Exeter) and Jordan Dalton (Warren).

Earlier in the day, the Rising Stars lost a tough battle to a very good Queen City Prophets team which was led by Adrian Graves.

In the Gold Division, Ferrari is 2-0 and the Illinois Warriors are 1-1.
