Class Of 2009 Thornton Star Richie Thompson Signs With Kirkwood Community College, And Black Hawk Community College Lands Class Of 2009 Rich East Standout Larnell Pillow Chicago Hoops June 29, 2009 Email Questions/Comments To brian@chicagohoops.com Class of 2009 Thornton star Richie Thompson has signed to play his college basketball for Iowa-based juco heavyweight Kirkwood Community College, and Larnell Pillow of Rich East has signed to play for Black Hawk Community College. Thompson, a 6'5" forward, was a key member of a strong Thornton team this past season that finished the year with the #1-ranking, and advanced all the way to the semifinals of the IHSA Class 4A state tournament. Thompson is a highly versatile talent who is capable of being plugged into multiple positions on the basketball court. Pillow, who competed on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Ice, is a steady floor leader who excels with his ball-distribution skills, and is an ideal backcourt fit for Black Hawk. |
