The store has been featured on BET's Rap City with Yung Berg, numerous news programs, and also in both The Source and XXL Magazine. Self Conscious is also popular with a number of high-profile music artists and athletes from the NBA, NFL and MLB. Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco, Cassidy and GLC are just of few of the big names from the music industry that have visited the store. Self Conscious recently played host to an event sponsored by LRG x Chicago Bears Meet & Greet at the store. Players signed autographs, took pictures, and hung out with the customers.
Self Conscious has done promotions with B96's own Julian on the Radio and Power 92's The Hot Boyz. Every first Friday of the month we have a sale/customer appreciation night from 7pm to Midnight. We provide a DJ, food, refreshments and 50% off items in the store.

Self Conscious and Encore are both open 7 days a week. Monday thru Thursday the stores are open from 10:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until Midnight, and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
