Former NBA Coach Dick Versace, Tavaras Hardy And Josh Oppenheimer To Be Headline Speakers At Chicago Stars For Tomorrow Skills Showcase For 6th Thru 8th Grade Boys
The Chicago Stars For Tomorrow Skills Showcase for 6th thru 8th grade boys is set for Saturday, October 25 in Deerfield, Illinois. This will be a one-day event for competitive basketball players looking for top-flight skill instruction and competition.
The showcase will feature experienced coaches and former players from the high school and college levels. This event will focus on improving skills and basketball fundamentals with game action at the end of the day. Players will be evaluated by coaches and ChicagoHoops.com, the #1 Scouting Service in the Midwest.
Former NBA Head Coach Dick Versace will be the featured guest speaker for the event. Northwestern assistant coach Tavaras Hardy, and Josh Oppenheimer, a former college coach, and personal trainer for Ben Gordon and other NBA players will also be speaking at the event.
Showcase Format:
12:30 PM Registration
1:00 PM Introduction – Tavares Hardy – Northwestern University
1:15 PM Group Instruction
1:45 PM Stations
2:45 PM Guest Speaker – Josh Oppenheimer – Former College coach and Personal Trainer for Ben Gordon and Other NBA Players
3:15 PM Stations
4:15 PM Guest Speaker – Dick Versace
Games:
The games will be 40-minutes long with equal playing time for all players.
