Red-hot Class of 2013 Saint Charles East star Kendall Stephens has now picked up a Big 10 scholarship offer from the University of Wisconsin. Stephens ranks as one of the top 2013 prospects in the state of Illinois.

Stephens, a 6'4 shooting guard, is a silky-smooth backcourt talent who drills shots with range that extends beyond the three-point arc. Stephens is the son of former Evanston Township and Purdue star Everette Stephens.

Already highly talented, Stephens still is only scratching the surface of where he could ultimately be as a prospect as he physically matures and adds weight and muscle. Stephens is about to see his recruiting stock take on a national focus, and will likely slide into the #3 slot when the ChicagoHoops.com Class of 2013 rankings are updated.

Stephens, who will compete on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Wolves, is off to a strong start at the Jack Tosh Classic at York High School as he scored 22 points in his opener, and 28 points in a narrow loss to Chicago Brother Rice in his second.

The scholarship offer from Wisconsin is his second Big 10 offer. Northwestern offered Stephens back in November.

Mike Mullins of the Illinois Wolves confirmed the scholarship offer from Wisconsin.
