Former Chicago Marshall star Mike Stovall of Mineral Area College is very much looking forward to the upcoming season, and is seeing his recruiting stock soar on the heels of a series of strong showings on the junior college exposure camp circuit.

Stovall, a 6'5" guard, transferred to Mineral Area from Oregon State University at the first semester break last season, and has patiently been awaiting a return to the basketball court.

Earlier this month, at the Juco Top 100 Camp in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Stovall put his complete all-around game on full display and in turn sent his recruiting stock soaring. Long and athletic, Stovall has always been known for his ability to score. However, he has been working hard on his point guard skills, and used the Tulsa event to show that he can also get minutes at the point.

Stovall told ChicagoHoops.com that right now DePaul, Iowa State, Alabama-Birmingham and Colorado State are all among the schools in hot pursuit of his services. His list of admirers continues to grow with Washington and Illinois State also among the schools that are serious about landing his services.

Stovall will enter the 2008-09 season as one of the top junior college basketball prospects in the country.
