The Illinois Warriors fell to SYF in the championship game of the 17-U SuperShowcase in Orlando, Florida. Jon Scheyer (Glenbrook North) did all he could to try and lead the Warriors to the title, and finished the game with 43 points.

The 6-5 Scheyer scored from everywhere on the floor. He was backed up in the game by solid efforts from Cole Holmstrom (Bloomington, IN), Manual Cass (Carbondale), Aaron Johnson (Chicago Hubbard) and Jeff Ryan (Glenbrook South).

The Warriors put up an incredible run during the tournament which saw post an emotional double-overtime win against Chicago Ferrari in the quarterfinals, and a dramatic overtime win against highly regarded Boo Williams from Virginia in the semifinals.
