Class Of 2008 Prospect Watch: 6-4 Gozie Umeadi Of Fenton High School
Class of 2008 Fenton star Gozie Umeadi is a senior prospect to watch on the basketball court this year. Umeadi, who is a star both on the basketball court, and also in the classroom, ranks among the top uncommitted 2008 prospects in the state of Illinois.
Umeadi, a 6-4 wing, is known for his athleticism, and his ability to slash to the bucket. This past season, Umeadi was part of a 17-U Rising Stars team that played strong throughout the spring and summer on the travel team circuit.
Mike Weinstein of the Rising Stars said, "Gozie is a highly intelligent player who picks up things quickly, and brings a great deal of energy to the basketball court. He is a team-first player who is a great defender. The game always flows better when Gozie is on the floor."
Umeadi is hearing from a number of Division I and Division II basketball programs including Ball State, IPFW, Winona State, Hillsdale, St. Francis (IN) and Northern Kentucky to name a few. Keep an eye out for Gozie Umeadi, he is a player who you will hear a lot about during the coming basketball season.
