2017 Mr. Basketball Mark Smith To Announce College Choice Wednesday

Edwardsville High School standout Mark Smith will announce his collegiate destination at a press conference on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

Smith, a 6’5 guard, was the winner of the 2017 Illinois Mr. Basketball Award.

Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State and Kentucky have all been active with Smith, who averaged 21.9 points, 8.4 assists and 8.2 rebounds per game en route to sending his recruiting stock soaring.

2018 Morgan Park PG Ayo Dosunmu Adds North Carolina State Offer

Class of 2018 Chicago Morgan Park standout Ayo Dosunmu has now added a scholarship offer from North Carolina State to his collection.

Dosunmu, a 6’4 guard, is the top-rated 2018 prospect in the state of Illinois. Dosunmu was re-offered by Illinois last week, and also recently added a Georgia Tech offer.

Dosunmu holds a long line of prior offers including Illinois, Northwestern, Cincinnati, Xavier, Texas A&M, Marquette and Iowa State to name a few.

Dosunmu competes on the Nike EYBL circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire.

2017 Joliet West PG Teyvion Kirk Commits To Ohio

Class of 2017 Joliet West standout Teyvion Kirk has decided on Ohio University as his collegiate destination.

Kirk, a 6’3 point guard, is a versatile backcourt talent who knows how to score. He was originally signed to play for Drake ahead of getting a release following a coaching change.

Kirk competed on the travel team circuit with ALL IN/Young & Reckless.

2017 Whitney Young G Lucas Williamson Commits To Loyola

Class of 2017 Chicago Whitney Young standout Lucas Williamson has committed to play his college basketball for head coach Porter Moser and Loyola University.

Williamson, a 6’4 guard, is known for his ability to get buckets with his jump shot, and is fresh off of helping to lead Whitney Young to the IHSA Class 4A state championship.

Williamson becomes the third big-time in-state recruit for Loyola joining 6’8 Cam Krutwig (Jacobs) and 6’7 Christian Negron (Elgin Larkin) in a monster haul of high school talent for Loyola.

Williamson competed on the Nike EYBL circuit with Meanstreets.
