East Aurora Decides To Not Rehire Wendell Jeffries

Following weeks of speculation as to his status, Wendell Jeffries has not been rehired as head coach at East Aurora High School.

East Aurora School District 131 spokesman Tom Jackson said in a statement Thursday that the administration has decided to look for a new head coach for the 2017-18 season.

Jeffries has taught at the school since 1987 and has been head coach since the 2001-02 season. He received a great deal of support from the community to remain as head coach.
