Roy Williams, head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels is expected in today, Thursday to visit Chicago Brother Rice point guard Bobby Frasor. Frasor, the ChicagoHoops.com #2 Class of 2005 prospect, is red-hot nationally as a prospect.
The 6-3 Frasor has separated himself as the top point guard in an Illinois Class of 2005 that is loaded at that position. Last season, for Chicago Brother Rice, Frasor was magnificent distributing the basketball, and leading his team to one of it’s best seasons ever.
Over the course of the past year, Frasor has improved both his strength, and his quickness, and the results have been evident. Frasor has always been a “lights out” shooter, and excellent decision-maker. He now has the ability penetrate at will, which makes him nothing short of lethal on the basketball court.
A stellar performance at last weekend’s Kingwood Classic has high major programs scrambling to get involved. DePaul, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Marquette and Notre Dame have long been among the schools in hot pursuit of Frasor. North Carolina offered a scholarship earlier this week. Others like Michigan State and Illinois who have long liked Frasor, are intensifying their efforts.
Frasor teams with Bryan Mullins (Downers Grove South) on the Illinois Wolves to form one of the top backcourt combos on the AAU circuit.
