Chicago Julian’s Brandon Ewing is displaying big time talent. Ewing, who is one of the top 2005 point guards in Illinois, will lead a deep and talented Julian squad that should be among the best in the state.

Ewing, who stands 6-2, is one of the quickest guards with the basketball in all of Illinois. He loves to push the ball up the floor. Ewing is also a solid penetrator with a strong handle, and keen passing instincts. Defensively, Ewing is an extremely active and aggressive on-the-ball defender.

Ewing told Chicago Hoops that he is working on getting stronger, and on being a complete leader on the basketball court. Once his physical development is complete, Ewing has a chance to be a player capable of taking over basketball games on both ends of the floor.

Ewing, who is drawing solid Division I interest on both the high and mid-major level, could see his stock rise during the coming high school season. Julian came on strong at the end of last season, and returns a number of key players. The Jaguars have all the necessary size, experience and athleticism to make a strong run come tournament time.
