Chicago Simeon’s Calvin Brock, the top-rated unsigned senior in the state of Illinois, is keeping his college options open. Both Depaul and the University of Illinois are known to have a strong interest in the high-flying senior.
Brock, a 6-6 small forward, saw his stock skyrocket with a solid senior season. Brock told ChicagoHoops.com that he will take some visits in the upcoming weeks, and look to have a final decision within the next month or so. Brock says that he has not yet narrowed his list of schools down as of yet.
Brock has held his own this week during workouts for the EA Sports Roundball Classic. He will be a teammate of Peoria Central’s Shaun Livingston on the West squad for the game.
At the EA Sports Roundball Gala Charity Banquet, Brock was profiled as a University of Illinois recruit. Brock told ChicagoHoops.com that it was an error, and that he is still open, and has not committed to the University of Illinois.
Brock is a two-time Chicago Public League All Academic team selection.
