Kevin Jones, who was named interim head coach at Chicago State when Bo Ellis resigned last season, has been officially given the job.

The Chicago State basketball program has struggled immensely over the past few seasons. Ellis was able to win just 23 games during his five year tenure at the school. The Cougars finished with a 3-23 record last season.

Jones previously served on the coaching staffs at both Western Illinois and Indiana Purdue University Indianapolis.
