Joliet’s Jeremy Fears has given a verbal commitment to play for Ohio, and Schaumburg’s Zach Pancratz and Craig Reichel have verballed to Northern Illinois. All three players rate among the better Class of 2004 prospects in the state of Illinois.

Fears, a 6-3 guard, chose Ohio over interest from both Purdue and Southwest Missouri State. Earlier this month, Fears told Chicago Hoops that Ohio rated highly on his list of favorite schools. Fears is a highly versatile and athletic player capable of getting minutes at either guard slot.

Pancratz, a 6-3 shooting guard, and Reichel, a 6-8 power forward, form one of the better duo’s in the state of Illinois. Pancratz is a deadly shooter who tends to rise up in big games. Reichel is a power forward with a sweet stroke from the floor. They become Northern Illinois’ second and third commitment for 2004. Earlier this month, Chicago Leo small forward Frank Clair gave the Huskies a verbal commitment.
