Homewood-Flossmor’s D.J. Posley is ready to step up his game. The Class of 2005 point guard will team with Julian Wright and Freddie Barnes in trying to lead the Vikings to another strong state tournament run.

Posley, who stands 6-2, played, on both the varsity, and junior varsity teams for a deep and loaded H-F team that finished as the state runner-up. He will be looked upon to fill the void that will be caused by the graduation of Excell Hardy. Julian Wright, who sacrificed his offense in favor of distributing the basketball, is expected to double his scoring output. Posley, who averaged 17ppg on a loaded J.V. squad, could become the Vikings #2 scoring threat.

Posley is a heady point guard who can both score, and distribute the basketball. He told ChicagoHoops.com that he takes a good deal of pride in the amount of intensity that he brings to the basketball court. He also loves to play defense. Posley is working on his all-around game in addition to getting stronger by hitting the weights.

This summer, Posley is playing on the AAU circuit with Marcus Green (Leyden), Aaron Jimenez (Leyden) and Full Package. They will be in action this weekend at the Spiece Run-N-Slam in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
