Scholarship offers are pouring in for Bloomington’s Dodie Dunson. Dunson, one of the top Class of 2005 prospects in the state of Illinois, has been impressive in early AAU action this spring, and could see his list of collegiate suitors grow as the AAU season rolls on.

Dunson, a 6-2 point guard, brings a wide variety of skills to the table. Dunson is super-quick on the floor both with, and without the basketball. He is equally comfortable slashing to the hole, or stepping back and dropping jumpers from beyond the three-point arc. Dunson has a strong handle, and is both highly athletic and a highly active on-the-ball defender.

Dunson, who is pursued by both mid-major and high major programs, has a long list of scholarship offers on the table. Dunson has offers from Marquette, Nebraska, Wyoming, Bradley, Drake, Illinois State, Wichita State, Evansville, Indiana State, Southern Illinois and Southwest Missouri State to name a few, and could add a high major offer or two in the near future.

Dunson’s stock could continue to soar next year as he and backcourt mate Brandon Holtz look to lead Bloomington into the Elite Eight of the state tournament. Dunson and Holtz figure to be one of the top backcourt duo’s in the state next year.
