Lorenzo Eckford Starting To Show Some Nice Skills

Chicago Hoops
May 19, 2003

Chicago Julian center Lorenzo Eckford is beginning to show some real nice skills on the basketball court.

Eckford, a 6-8 Class of 2004 prospect, has improved his game a good deal over the course of the past year. The thin center has added both weight and muscle to his frame. Eckford funs the floor extremely well. Though he plays the post, he has the quickness and agility to step out on the perimeter to guard smaller players.

Although his offensive game is still a bit raw, Eckford has shown some nice improvement in his back-to-the-basket game. He is a solid rebounder and a good shot blocker. Eckford uses his length and athleticism to help trigger Julian’s high pressure defensive attack.

Look for Lorenzo Eckford to continue to rise as a prospect as the spring and summer season rolls on.
