Homewood-Flossmoor’s Excell Hardy is still available, but does have scholarship offers on the table from Division I basketball programs. Hardy was the leading scorer for a Viking team that finished second in the state this year.

Hardy, a 6-0 point guard, was magnificent all year for a Homewood-Flossmoor team that lost just twice. Hardy is a superb offensive performer. He can flat out “light it up” from long-range, but is also equally lethal slashing to the hole. Among guards, Hardy is one of the best finishers in the state of Illinois.

Hardy told ChicagoHoops.com that he has offers on the table from the University of Evansville, Eastern Illinois University and Augustana (South Dakota). Hardy says that Evansville currently leads, and that he will be taking a visit to their campus later this month.

Both Evansville and Eastern Illinois are looking for Hardy to make an immediate impact. Hardy, who moved to the off guard slot this year for the good of the H-F team, will be sliding back to his natural point guard position in college.

Hardy expects to have a decision by the end of the month. However, he is still open to hearing from other schools looking for a point guard who is ready to step in and play right away.
