Chicago Harlan center Clarence Holloway has been ruled eligible to compete immediately. Holloway had transferred from Chicago Fenger to Chicago Harlan this fall. It was ruled that his residency did not circumvent Chicago Public League rules toward transferring between schools for athletic purposes.
Holloway’s eligibility ruling was somewhat of a surprise as most felt it was a foregone conclusion that the 7-0 center would have to sit out this season. It is a definite plus for Holloway since he missed most of his freshman and sophomore seasons with injuries. Harlan opened the season with losses to Chicago Farragut and Chicago Crane in the Blue Cross Blue Shield Classic.
