Illinois Select Showdown Set For Sunday At Loyola

The inagural Illinois Select Showdown is set to take place Sunday morning at the Gentile Center at Loyola University. Players chosen to compete will be separated into teams based on the geographic region they represent.

Tournament host Sean Duncan says a number of top underclass prospects are scheduled to compete. The list of players scheduled to play includes Shaun Pruitt (West Aurora), Phillip Perry (Proviso East), Jamarcus Ellis (Chicago Westinghouse), Nate Minnoy (Chicago Hales Franciscan), Bobby Frasor (Chicago Brother Rice), Jaeh Thomas (West Aurora), Jeremy Pargo (Chicago Robeson), Jarryd Loyd (Niles West), Sead Odzic (Niles West), Julian Lott (Zion-Benton), Robert Bush (Thornton), Ron Coleman (Thornridge), Bryan Mead (Hoffman Estates), Ollie Harrison (Danville), David Kleinschmidt (St. Patrick), Matt Marino (St. Patrick), Dan Bolger (St. Patrick), Paul Bayer (Moline), Robert Eppinger (Rockford Jefferson), Alphonso Dillard (Peoria Manual) and Patrick Nelson (Rockford Jefferson).

Two pools of four teams will compete in a tournament format. Players will be separated by geographic region. Regions include Chicago Public League, North Suburban, South Suburban, Northwest Suburban, West Suburban, Catholic League, Rockford and Downstate. Action will tip off at 9:30am.
