Troy Johnson’s Illinois Wolves are set to play the AAU circuit this spring and summer with a roster that is loaded with Division I talent.

West Aurora power forward Shaun Pruitt headlines the Wolves roster. The 6-9 power forward is the top post prospect in the state of Illinois for the Class of 2004. He will be joined inside by 6-7 Chicago Farragut power forward Ollie Bailey.

6-2 West Aurora point guard Jaeh Thomas, and 5-10 Niles West point guard Jarryd Loyd will be the primary ballhandlers. 6’6 Neuqua Valley guard/forward Kyle Carrabine gives the Wolves a sharpshooter with NBA range.

6-4 swingman Vince Humphrey of Fenwick, 6-5 swingman Frank Clair of Chicago Leo, and 6-6 small forward Gordon Watt of Evanston are three more highly regarded weapons on the Wolves roster. Other Wolves to watch are 5-10 Downers Grove North point guard Matt Cunningham, 6-5 Champaign Centennial swingman Steve Holdren, 5-11 Chicago Latin point guard Robin Bester, 6-0 Pontiac point guard Aaron Anderson and 6-7 Oak Park forward Chris Cornelius. Cornelius is a versatile performer who could rise this summer.

The Wolves will be in action this weekend at the 17-U State AAU Tournament. You can also catch the Wolves at the Kingwood Classic in Houston, the Spiece Run ‘N Slam in Fort Wayne, the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions in North Carolina, the Adidas Big Time Tournament in Las Vegas and the AAU Super Showcase in Orlando.
