Strong Field Set For University of Illinois Team Camp

A strong field of teams is set to play this Friday and Saturday at the University of Illinois Team Camp in Chicago. A number of Chicago Public League powers, and Glenbrook North with Jon Scheyer are slated to compete.

The field of teams includes Chicago Von Steuben, Chicago Fenger, Chicago Manley, Chicago Westinghouse, Chicago Crane. Chicago Simeon, Chicago Robeson, Chicago Julian, Chicago Curie, Chicago Farragut, Thornwood, Glenbrook North, Thornridge, St. Joe’s, Hillcrest, Bloom, New Trier and Proviso West.

Some of the the top individual players likely to compete include Angel Santiago (Chicago Von Steuben), Demetrius Evans (Chicago Von Steuben), Jermiah Bryant (Chicago Fenger), Clarence Holloway (Chicago Fenger), DeAndre Thomas (Chicago Westinghouse), Sherron Collins (Chicago Crane), Brandon Ewing (Chicago Julian), Ollie Bailey (Chicago Farragut), Chris Singletary (Chicago Farragut), Emmanual Little (Chicago Farragut), Jon Scheyer (Glenbrook North), Ron Coleman (Thornridge), Tony Freeman (St. Joe’s) Jerel McNeal (Hillcrest), Jonathan Austin (Bloom) and Joe Ballard (Proviso West).

The tournament will be played downtown Chicago at the Moody Bible Institute. Games are set to begin on Friday, and continue Saturday morning starting at 9am.
