Jeffers Continues Stock Continues To Rise
Brian Stinnette January 22, 2003 An improved perimeter game has the stock of Chicago Hubbard small forward Othyus Jeffers on the rise. Before the season ends, Jeffers could find himself among the top dozen prospects in the state of Illinois. The long-armed Jeffers on the court game is based on both strength and athleticism. He has always been a player who was very comfortable battling inside. Jeffers now boasts a rapidly improving perimeter game. He has range out to the three-point arc, and on occasion, you will find Jeffers bringing the ball up the floor and setting up the Hubbard attack. Jeffers currently ranks #20 on Chicago Hoops list of top Class of 2003 prospects in the state of Illinois. However, his ranking could surge if he continues to display perimeter skills. The 6’4″ Jeffers is getting a lot of collegiate interest. He told Chicago Hoops that he doesn’t have a favorite school right now. He lists Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Temple, Loyola and UIC among the schools that he likes. |
