Chicago North Lawndale’s Jimmy Williams, one of the Top 35 Class of 2004 prospects in the state of Illinois, is currently still on the board. Williams led North Lawndale to an outstanding year that ended with an overtime loss to eventual Class A State Champion Chicago Leo.
Williams, a 6-4 shooting guard, has a cat-quick first step which makes him a lethal slasher to the hole. He also brings a strong handle, and a soft touch on his jumper. This year, Williams averaged 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists per contest.
A likely qualifier, Williams has drawn interest from both Western Illinois and Bowling Green. He has an offer on the table from East Central Oklahoma, and is being courted heavily by Independence, a junior college powerhouse from the state of Kansas.
