Valpo Continues Illinois Recruiting Feast With 7-3 Center Kenny George

Valparaiso and head coach Scott Drew continued their recruiting feast in Illinois last week by getting a verbal commitment from 7-3 Chicago Latin center Kenny George.

George, who ranks among the Top 30 Class of 2004 prospects in the state of Illinois, is somewhat of a recruiting coup for the Vikings. Valpo will now be in position to erect a future frontline with the 7-3 George, and 6-10, 300-pound Kenny Harris. Harris ranks as the top Class of 2003 post prospect in the state of Indiana.

Last year, Valpo came into Illinois and signed 6-2 guard Jimmie Miles of Rich Central. Miles, who had a tremendous senior season, ranks as one of the Top 100 Class of 2003 prospects in the United States.

As a junior, George averaged better than 8 blocks shots per game. He is highly effective at clogging the lane. Offensively, George is still raw, but is improving. With improved stamina, George could develop into a dominating defensive force to be reckoned with at Valparaiso.
