Hersey’s Kevin Polit has made a commitment to play college basketball for the Savannah College Of Art And Design. Savannah is one of the top art and design colleges in the United States. Former NBA and University of Michigan star Cazzie Russell is the head coach at Savannah.
Polit, a 6-6 power forward, is known for his strength, athleticism and unselfish play on the court. Polit is Hersey’s all-time leader in field goal percentage with a career mark of 64% over three varsity seasons.
Polit, averaged nearly 10 points and better than 7 rebounds per game en route to being a Daily Herald all area selection, and leading Hersey to a 15-12 record. Polit will be receiving a full-ride to play at Savannah. Polit selected Savannah over interest from Lafayette and Lehigh, a pair of academic powerhouses.
