Peoria Central’s Brandon Lee Loves To Play Defensive

Brian Stinnette
May 12, 2003

Peoria Central guard Brandon Lee takes great pride in making his presence felt on the basketball court defensively.

Lee, a 6-1 combination guard, spearheaded Peoria Central’s defensive effort that ultimately led the team to the 2003 Illinois State Championship. He will return next year and again team with Shaun Livingston and DeAndre Miranda to defend Central’s title.

Lee told Chicago Hoops that his defensive capabilities are the strongest part of his game. When he is on the floor, Lee says that he trys to contest every shot taken by his opponent.

Lee is working hard to improve his ballhandling since he knows that his size dictates that he will primarily play point guard on the next level. Lee is getting interest from Wisconsin-Green Bay, Creighton and Southern Illinois. Wisconsin-Green Bay has already offered a scholarship.
