Strong Spring Has Livingston’s Stock Soaring

Chicago Hoops
June 4, 2002

The stock of Peoria point guard Shaun Livingston is now soaring after a strong spring with Ft. Sooy No Limit. Livingston, a 2004 prospect, has many times upstaged his high profile 2003 teammates Brian Randle and Richard McBride.

The 6’6″ Livingston has firmly entrenched himself on the radar screen of major programs throughout the country. He was named MVP of the Speice Run-N-Slam in May after leading Ft. Sooy to the title. No one at Speice had an answer for his drives to hole and no-look passes. He was equally impressive at the Kingwood Classic in Houston, and the Tournament of Champions in North Carolina.

Livingston now ranks among the Top 15 2004 prospects nationally. 2004 figures to be an outstanding year for point guards nationally. Sebastian Telfair, DeMarcus Nelson, JamesOn Curry and Jason Horton join Livingston as the cream of the point guard crop. Nelson has already committed to Duke.

Livingston will be transferring to Peoria Central from Peoria Richwoods for the upcoming school year.
