Peoria Central’s Shaun Livingston will talk to Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski before making a decision as to whether or not he will bypass college, and enter the NBA draft. Livingston would likely be the first point guard selected should he decide to make himself available for the NBA draft.

The deadline for applying for the NBA draft is May 10. The Winston-Salem Journal reports that Krzyzewski will fly down to Peoria in a couple of weeks to meet with Livingston and his family to discuss the next step in his career.

Livingston, who is currently on vacation, said that he is not leaning in any direction right now, but did acknowledge that is possible that he could go to the NBA.

If Livingston decides to enroll at Duke, they will head into next year as the favorite to win the National Title. If he heads off to the NBA, Livingston could still very well find himself playing in the state of North Carolina. The expansion Charlotte Bobcats already own the #4 pick in the draft, and have scouted Livingston extensively.
