Peoria Central’s Shaun Livingston is still going through the process of deciding whether or not to go to Duke, or head off to the NBA. Livingston is projects as the top-rated point guard should he decide to enter the NBA draft.

Livingston told the Durham Herald-Sun that he still has two weeks left to decide, and is going to take his time to hopefully make the best decision. On Wednesday, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and assistant Johnny Dawkins paid a visit to Livingston in Peoria. Krzyzewski feels that Livingston would benefit from the process of going to college, and that he wants the opportunity to coach him.

Should he opt for the NBA, the 6-7 would likely be the first point guard to successfully jump from high school to the NBA. Meanwhile Duke is faced with the possibility of losing both Livingston, and 6-8 freshman shooting guard Luol Deng to the NBA. Like Livingston, Deng is also projected as a likely high lottery selection, and is in the process of making a decision.
