Southern Illinois Gets First 2004 Verbal
Chicago Hoops April 25, 2003 Centralia forward Matt Shaw has given a verbal commitment to Southern Illinois University. Shaw ranks among the top dozen prospects in the state of Illinois for the Class of 2004. Shaw, who stands 6-6, will likely be somewhat of a combination forward in college. Shaw is heady, a strong rebounder and an extremely efficient scorer around the basket. He averaged better than 17 points per game as a junior. Expect Shaw to continue to develop his perimeter game on the next level. Shaw plays for the St. Louis Eagles AAU team. With a roster loaded with college prospects, the Eagles are one of the bigger attractions on this year’s AAU circuit. |
