Hoffman Estates Shooter Bryan Mead Rising Fast
Brian Stinnette April 8, 2003 Hoffman Estates shooting guard Bryan Mead has followed up a stellar junior campaign with a strong start this spring. Mead is rising fast among prospects in the Class of 2004. He will be a Top 15 Class of 2004 prospect when the new rankings are released. Mead, who stands 6-2, has quickly established himself as the best player on the Schaumburg 1st Class AAU team that also features Zach Pancratz and Craig Reichel of Schaumburg High School. Mead, who averaged better than 20 points per game as a junior, will be one of the highest scoring players returning next season in the Chicagoland area. Mead is an outstanding shooter. He shoots with range, accuracy and has a super-quick release. He is capable of scoring from seemingly anywhere on the court. Mead must be guarded at all times. He has a good handle and solid court instincts. He appears to be working to improve his ability to beat his man off the dribble. Mead is currently getting interest from both Southern Illinois and Northern Illinois. However, expect a host of other mid-major programs to get involved as his basketball prowess continues to improve on the court. |
