Brian Stinnette
June 9, 2003

Jordan Morris, a rising Class of 2005 prospect from Washington High School is ready to take his place among the better Class of 2005 prospects in the state of Illinois.

Morris, a 6-2 guard, put up solid numbers as a sophomore averaging 16.7ppg, 5.7rpg and nearly 3 assists per contest. Morris is spending this spring and summer sharpening his skills even further as a member of the Illinois Gunners 17U AAU team.

Although he is primarily a shooting guard now, Morris is placing a good deal of emphasis on improving his point guard skills. Morris told Chicago Hoops that he is especially looking to improve his ballhandling skills. His weekly workout routine includes shooting, weightlifting, quickness, and agility drills. In addition to scrimmaging on the basketball court.

Morris feels that his ability to score is currently the strongest part of his game. His offensive arsenal includes a deadly stroke from the three-point arc, and a very solid mid-range game. Morris is a player who always brings 100% effort to the basketball court.

The Class of 2005 is nothing short of loaded with outstanding basketball prospects at both guard slots. If you haven’t heard of Jordan Morris previously, you will! Look for Morris to continue to rise in ranking as one of the better downstate guard prospects.
