David Moss Named Top Missouri Valley Freshman
Chicago Hoops March 5, 2003 Thornwood high school product David Moss has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year. Moss led Indiana State in scoring this year with an average of 13.7 points per game. The 6-5 shooting guard figures to play a central role in the future as the 6-23 Sycamores look to rebuild. Moss is the first Indiana State player since Eddie Bird, the brother of Larry Bird to win the Freshman of the Year award. Bird won the award in 1988. |
