Pancratz Beginning To Show High Major Ability

Chicago Hoops
March 4, 2003

Although he still needs to add both weight and muscle, Schaumburg’s Zach Pancratz is beginning to show the type of playing ability that high major programs look for.

To say that Pancratz, a 6-4 junior shooting guard is thin, is a bit of an understatement. However, his game on the court is solid. Pancratz drills jumpers with both range and accuracy. He hits about 2.5 three-point shots per game, and is Schaumburg’s leading scorer at better than 16 points per contest.

Pancratz has a good handle, and is an above average passer. Despite his thin frame, Pancratz is not afraid to mix it up inside a bit. He is a decent rebounder, and has some nice offensive moves around the basket. Pancratz’s strong play and leadership has guided the Saxon’s to an 11-1 mark since Christmas.

Currently, Pancratz ranks #11 on the Chicago Hoops rankings of top prospects in the state of Illinois for the Class of 2004. Pancratz is a solid mid-to-high major prospect, and has a chance to solidify himself as a prospect with a strong summer.
