Gutsy Johnny Reibel Having A Terrific Spring
Brian Stinnette June 16, 2003 Johnny Reibel, a gutsy point guard from Hoffman Estates, capped off a terrific spring by leading his team the Championship at the Peoria Richwoods Shootout. Reibel, who stands 5-10, teams with Bryan Mead to form one of the better backcourt duo’s in the state of Illinois. Reibel is an outstanding shooter, a surprisingly effective penetrator and a sound decision-maker on the court. Reibel’s talent has been known for years in the Mid-Suburban West Conference where he regularly battles with the likes of Zach Pancratz (Schaumburg) and Jason Richards (Barrington). He is now building a reputation outside of the conference. The always tough Reibel is an absolute menace to foes on the basketball court. Look to hear more from Johnny Reibel during the upcoming season, as Hoffman Estates, with Reibel, Mead and Brandon Jung, figures to be the favorite to win the Mid-Suburban West. |
