Craig Reichel: A Big Man With A Jump Shot
Brian Stinnette May 30, 2003 Schaumburg power forward Craig Reichel rates as one of the top Class of 2004 post prospects in the state of Illinois. Reichel is best described as a “big man with a jump shot”. Reichel, who stands 6-8, is a left-hander who loves to stroke it from the perimeter. Reichel’s shooting range extends out to the three-point arc. The big-bodied Reichel is more than just a perimeter threat. He has a nice array of inside post moves, and is a solid rebounder. Reichel is drawing interest from a number of mid-major programs including Northern Illinois, Illinois State, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Ball State, Northern Iowa and Indiana State. Despite his shooting range, Reichel told Chicago Hoops that he sees himself as a power forward all the way on the next level. His size and perimeter skills are ideal for the mid-major level where big men are typically both inside and outside offensive threats. |
