Northwestern Lands 2018 MO Point Guard Jordan Lathon


Class of 2018 Grandview, Missouri point guard Jordan Lathon has committed to play his college basketball for head coach Chris Collins and Northwestern.

Lathon, a 6’4 point guard, was a major 2018 target for Northwestern. They will go into the July Evaluation Period knowing they have their future floor general committed.

Northwestern ultimately beat Iowa State for Lathon, with Butler, Wake Forest and Illinois also bidding on his services.

Lathon figures to be the likely point successor for Bryant McIntosh.

2018 Chicago Curie PG Maurice Commander Picks Up EIU Offer


Class of 2018 Chicago Curie standout Maurice Commander has picked up a scholarship offer from Eastern Illinois University.

Commander is a 5’10 point guard who can score the ball in a variety of ways.

Commander also has offers from Chicago State (WAC) and Lewis University (D2)

Commander competes on the Power-Ade Circuit with Young & Reckless.

Illini Add 6’9 Slovenian Post Matic Vesel To 2017 Recruit Class

Head coach Brad Underwood and the University of Illinois have now added Slovenian post Matic Vesel to their 2017 recruiting haul.

Vesel, a 6’9, 200-pound post, will add depth to an Illini frontcourt that has been looking to add size.

Vesel committed while on a visit to the Illini campus. His commitment comes on the heels of the program adding Detroit big man Greg Eboigbodan.

Vesel and Eboigbodan are part of a 2017 Illini recruiting class that also features a wealth of backcourt talent in Mark Smith, Trent Frazier, Da’Monte Williams and graduate transfer Mark Alstork.

2018 PG Ayo Dosunmu Adds Offer From Kansas

Class of 2018 Chicago Morgan Park standout Ayo Dosunmu has now added a scholarship offer from Kansas to his vast collection.

Dosunmu, a 6’5 point guard, is the top-rated prospect in the Illinois 2018 recruiting class.

Dosunmu averaged 23.2 points per game for the Mac Irvin Fire this spring in Nike EYBL games.

Illinois, Northwestern, Xavier, Marquette, North Carolina State and Missouri are a few of a long line of offers held by Dosunmu. Kentucky has also begun to show increased interest.
